Shabbat services at Brith Sholem typically include all the required elements of a traditional service, augmented by songs, music, and additional readings according to the leader’s inclinations. To create a “running sheet” for your service, feel free to use one of the templates below.
- Friday evening service using Mishkan T’filah (Reform siddur/prayer book)
- Friday evening service using Likrat Shabbat (Conservative siddur/prayer book)
- Saturday morning service using Mishkan T’filah
As the service leader, you are responsible for setting the tone and guiding the congregation through the service. Please ensure that you speak loudly and clearly enough to be heard by all and call out the page numbers as you go along. Note that the “skinny” version of Mishkan T’filah has two sets of page numbers, so you should let people using that version that the page numbers in brackets are the ones to follow.
Since 2020, our services have been available on Zoom and, when possible, in the synagogue as well. Guidelines for leading on Zoom are provided to service leaders on request.
