Hello! Warm well wishes during this time of chilly days and warm nights.
In a few weeks, on Friday January 22 at 6:30pm Mountain time, we will be hosting a Seder for Tu BiShvat, the celebration of trees, agriculture, and growth! Leading up to this Zoom-based event, we invite you to procure one or more fruits from each of the following three categories, which we will learn more about during the seder. We are sharing this list now, to give plenty of time to scope out the selection and plan ahead of time.
At the same time, please do not feel obligated to purchase anything — you are welcome to bring what you have on hand, even if your fruit is of the hand-drawn or cut-from-construction-paper variety. Such variety is encouraged and fruits not listed below are also welcome!
Fruits with Inedible Coverings (i.e., fruits with Shells or Skins): Almonds, Walnuts, Peanuts, Cashews, Pine Nuts, Brazil Nuts, Chestnuts, Pistachios, Coconuts, Pomegranates, Bananas, Pineapple, Kiwi, Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Honeydew, etc.
Fruits with Pits: Dates, Cherries, Olives, Plums, Nectarines, Apricots, Avocados, Mangos, etc.
